Fabric Wrapped {books}

As I was gathering ideas for my bookcase decor, I really wanted to add some 'pretty' books.
I love the idea of using fabric to cover a book.  There are so many possibilities with the print & color.  I happened to have a lot of scrap fabric, which worked out perfectly, since this project calls for only a small amount of fabric.

Let's begin..
 Head to the dollar store and grab a few books
I learned the hard way on this, and had to double up my fabric to cover the color of the book. :)
You will need enough fabric to wrap around your book, so measure accordingly.
You will also want to cut 4 small slits near the spine, so it can lay properly {two on each end}.
Smooth out any bubbles along the way.
And that's it! So super easy.  I love the finished result!
I may have to make several more of these to go on another shelf. :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Those are a really cute way to spice up a bookcase. Maybe one day when I have a library there will be room for that type of thing, but the four bookcases in our apartment are already crammed so full that I've got piles on the floor!
