Letter to Santa {party}

Writing the annual 'letter to Santa' is a pretty big deal at our house.  Usually our kids make a list by circling items they see in a magazine or from the newspaper ads.  It's so fun for them.  Of course we let them know that they aren't going to receive everything they circle, but if they are good, they may receive a few fun things.

Last year I saw the beautifully written post from my favorite gals over at Uncommon about hosting a 'letter to Santa' party.  And so that is exactly what we did this year.  It was definitely some effort on my part, but completely & totally worth it.
Check it out..

The Santa letter is the star of the show, so here is the printable

The Santa Hat Brownies were so simple to make, and added so much to the letter writing party.  Not to mention how delicious they were!
Pretzel rods dipped in chocolate are always a nice addition, as far as I am concerned.

The Santa hat chair covers came from the Dollar Tree, so I bought one for each chair in our house. :) My husband thought that was a bit excessive. That's how I roll I guess. :)
 Want to know what the pretty wrapping on the table is??  Wrapping paper!  I don't know why I didn't think of it before.  I actually was able to use it afterward to wrap a few presents.  Always love to have multiple purposes for something.

When the party begin, I had some very happy children ready to get going.

I loved that this letter wasn't just about what they wanted, but what they have been done to be good, what they need, a good book to read, and so on.

Even my little guy got in on the fun.  Good thing he had a great big sis to help him out.

Ending the party with a little hot chocolate.
Only one thing left to do, deliver this letter to Santa.
Oh-so very fun!

This is the cutest idea! Sadly my kiddos are past the point of appreciating it, I think I will file it away for the far future and Grands...or maybe it would be a fun "grown up girls" party as well??? Hmmm...now you have my mind turning. Love your blog BTW!
