Elf {fun}

It's the first year we have had an elf friend at our house during the holiday season.  His name is Christopher & he likes to make {minimal} messes & hide in silly places.  My children have LOVED this & can't wait to find him each morning.   I thought I would share some of the fun that we have had with him.  Thanks to some really awesome ideas out there on Pinterest, our elf is able to be pretty creative, which a tired momma can appreciate the help. :)

The tape on the door frame was lots of fun.  I had a really memorable exchange with my daughter that afternoon.  She was giving me business over eating lunch, so I told her she'd better be nice or Christopher was going to leave.  Her response was this, 'he can't leave mom, he's taped to the wall'.  Guess his trick kind of backfired on us, thanks to my 4-year old. :)

Dry-erase on any glass surface is always a fun idea, especially when your little elf likes to be an artist. :)

Playing in the flour.  I had to fight the urge all day to not clean it up!
Naughty & Nice printable found here

We haven't had snow here this month, so our elf decided to make his own snowman.
  Getting in the cereal

There is an adorable printable for Elf kisses.  And of course these treats had something special in them to make my little ones extra good all day, at least that is what I told them. :)

Playing in the ball pit

Leaving funny jokes along the staircase.

So as you can see, it's been a really fun month having our elf friend in our home.
I hope he wants to come back next year, even if it is a lot of work. :)

So fun! Unfortunately my kids are too old for elf fun!

Love your ideas! We're doing the elf too for the first time (his name is Hobbs) and I can't get over how excited they are about it. It totally works! Now we just have to remember to move him each night! :)

Where did you find your elf? It is cuter than the one we have...which seems to be the one everyone has.
