We are doing okay from the big storm. No major problems in our area & very few power outages. I pray for all of those who have been hit from Hurricane Sandy, that they will get the help that they need at this time.
Today I thought I would share a fun, easy piece of decor that you could place virtually anywhere in your home.
Even though technically I didn't need a single new piece of decor for our new home, I decided it was time for some small changes. I'd been holding on to these glass bottles for quite some time, just waiting to do something with them. I decided to try out the whole 'bottle painting' craze. :) Very easy, might I add. I saw a great tutorial here. All I did was pour paint into the jar & slowly move the paint all around until it covered the entire glass surface. I used a wax piece of paper to dump the excess paint onto, and let the bottles dry. By the way, I didn't want to let the extra paint go to waste, and decided to use it on the striped frames pictured in this post.
After these cute little bottles were dry, I found a few places in our new space to display them.
Small changes, but I love the unique look of them--and the pop of color is great to dress up any space!
Thanks for stopping by!
