I'm a huge fan of vinyl--love making labels, love making signs. I could really use it for just about any project. The only problem is I have the hardest time finding any locally. Forget finding the fun colors, it's not going to happen. So I've had to look online. It's funny that I was contacted by My Vinyl Direct the same time that I needed to get some for myself. It gave me a great opportunity to check out their selection.

And my oh-my is there a great selection of colors.
Really any color you need (36, to be exact!), which totally made my day.
And the prices are very affordable!
I was sent the Feelin Hot packet of vinyl, which are such fun, bold colors!
I was very excited to begin!
I wanted to create something fun for my son's room, so I decided to give this a try.
I started with 4-10 inch 2x4's & stained them using my trusted Minwax in Dark Walnut.
After they dried, I used liquid nails to fuse them together.
Then I added my vinyl lettering to the wood.
The vinyl was very sturdy & didn't seem like it could tear as easily as ones I have used before, so that was awesome.
I also added a small bunting banner at the top, made with jute & leftover scrapbook paper.
I thought it needed a little something else, so I wrapped the bottom with more jute.
And that is it! I love simple projects. And the words on this make me so happy. Helps me to remember to slow down & enjoy those moments along the way.
To find JOY in the JOURNEY.
A big thanks to My Vinyl Direct for letting me give their wonderful vinyl a try. I think the quality is top notch & I will definitely be picking up more colors from them!
And one more thing--
My Vinyl Direct is going to be hooking up one of you with some beautiful vinyl as well.
Giveaway starts on Saturday!
