Spring {mantel}

With all my St. Patrick's Day decor put away, I couldn't decorate my mantel for Spring fast enough. I absolutely love this time of year.
The colors are refreshing & bring a smile to my face.

I created most all of this last year, with the exception of the banner. You can find the tutorials for my Yarn egg wreath, Apothecary jars & Flower Kissing Balls on the links indicated.


I love the use of book pages in almost any craft. This popular banner floating around the blogging world, was the inspiration for my banner.

Supplies needed:
Book pages--with edges painted brown
Scrapbook paper
Hot glue
Jute


1. Fold page in half
2. Cut triangle in center
3. Create pinwheel--I used this pinwheel tutorial
4. Glue pinwheel to center of folded book page
5. String on jute


This project took less than 30 minutes to complete--
just about the right amount of 'me' time I have in one morning. :)


Yes, Spring has definitely been invited to our home.
I hope it stays for a while. :)


And even if my chevron plate didn't make it on my mantel this year,
I still very much enjoy it. :)
