There is a really wonderful local thrift store that I enjoy going to, and one weekend I found a few great finds. I came across some glass vases that were hidden under a table. They didn't have a price tag on, so I grabbed a few & asked the woman who owned the shop, how much they were. I was very surprised that these lovely little vases were $1/each!
I needed to freshen up my table with a bit of color, so I was happy to use these to help out. I thought by adding some flowers to the vases, that would do the trick, but they needed something else.
I had just bought this bright green yarn, and it sparked an idea.

I started with the yarn at the top, by securing it with some hot glue, then wrapped the yarn all over the vase. There really was no order to it, I just kept wrapping until there wasn't any glass showing through. I also had yellow yarn on hand, so I did the same to the other vase.

Added some green split peas & sticks
Picked up a few more artificial flowers from Michaels, and my centerpiece was complete.

Now my table is officially ready for warmer weather. :)
