As promised, here is the tutorial for my tweaked wreath. You can find the wonderful original here. I am SO excited for this fun series, Pinspired and Rewired with my fellow blogging friends. I hope you all will join in, it's a fun way to stretch your creativity & make a great new piece for your home at the same time.
Supplies needed:
Wreath form--the smaller one works better, since it will get very full
Burlap
Book pages
Hot glue--lots & lots :)

I actually bought the larger wreath form from Michaels, but decided to scale down, since I didn't know how large it would turn out. I am SO happy I changed sizes, otherwise it wouldn't have fit on my front door, seriously. :)

Grab an old book--or one from the Dollar Tree. Paint the edges brown & let dry. Then tear out all the pages.
Roll from top corner to opposite bottom corner and add a dot of glue. Then do that like 100 more times, I am not joking. Brings back memories of when I made my book wreath.

For the burlap portion of the wreath--cut 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 squares.
Then roll them the same way you did with your book pages.

On the top of the back of the wreath, start by gluing a row of burlap rolls.
I alternated between the burlap & book pages.
Then finish all the rows until you reach the center circle of the wreath.
I did a total of 5 rows.
The concept is pretty simple & the overall look of it is very impressive & eye catching.

And once again, a huge thanks to Kim over at Made in a Day for the inspiration behind this whole series. :)

Hope to see you all at the link party on March 26th.
Pick Your Plum is going to hook three of you up!
So choose a wreath from Pinterest & start tweaking. :)
