For me, coming up with fun gifts for neighbors, teachers or friends, is always a hard decision. I want the gift to be thoughtful, but cute at the same time. So this year I came up with this. Nothing too crazy, but perfect to display this Christmas season.

I took inspiration from a gift I was given last year (pictured above). I'm not sure where it came from, but I loved the look of it. So here is my version of it.

Supplies:
Canvas
Paint for the canvas
Paint for the stripes
Glaze
Vinyl (or you could paint the letters on)

After my canvas was painted & dried, I used tape to create the spacing for the red lines.

Then I took the glaze & used a sponge brush to paint the entire area. Then I wiped the excess off with a damp cloth.
Then apply your vinyl letters, or like I mentioned above, you can stencil them on as well.

And now you have a cute, inexpensive gift to hand out to your neighbors or friends. And of course, save one for yourself. :)

FYI--
I bought the red decorative beads from the Dollar Tree & placed them in a glass jar I'd been saving.
I will soon post the 'how-to' for the framed ornament piece.
The tree was made last year, using a tree form & the decorative beads from the Dollar Tree.
