Candy corn {tree}

I have a feeling that these little candy corn trees are going to be pretty popular this season. I found the inspiration here on Pinterest. Aren't they so fun?! Perfect for this festive time! And beyond easy to make.
Check it out..

Yarn (orange, yellow, white)
Glue gun
Card stock to make the trees
Styrofoam tree form (found on Dollar Tree)
(I ended up not using the plastic cups as shown in the above picture, was going to use them for the form)

To make your tree form, twist your card stock to create a cone shape. Tape together to secure.

Then start wrapping the yarn around, using hot glue in the beginning. When you get to the top, cut the point off so it has a blunt edge. Wrap the yarn around the top to finish it off.

And really that is all there is to it! Easy-peasy & super cute. My favorite type of project!

These are really cute. I think over the next year I might have to save the empty cones from my serger's cone thread instead of tossing them out. Thanks for the inspiration.

Saw you on The Frugal Girls.
