Hi! My name is Heidi, and I blog over at TheFrugalGirls.com! I live in sunny Phoenix, AZ, and yes… it’s seriously HOT here right now! I love using coupons to save BIG on groceries, and finding ways to have fun while being frugal! I L.O.V.E.
coffee, have a serious infatuation with dark chocolate, and nothing compares to being a mom to my 2 sweet and silly boys.
I'm so excited and honored to be here sharing with you for Southern Lovely's 'What I Know' series!
Homemade cleaning supplies are simple to make, a great way to cut down on harsh chemicals in your home, and an easy way to cut costs and save $$!
One of my favorite simple little tricks is making Homemade Foaming Soap!
Here’s what you’ll do:
· Simply save one of your Bath & Body Works {or similar} foaming soap containers.
· Once your bottle is empty, fill the empty foaming soap bottle with about 1 inch of your liquid hand soap {the clear-based liquid soap will work best for this… not the creamy thicker ones}
· After you’ve added your soap, just fill the rest of the bottle up slowly with tap water.
· Place the lid back on, and gently tip from side to side, and upside down to mix together. {don’t shake ~ it gets wildly sudsy if you do… just trust me!} ;)
You can even do the same for Homemade Foaming Dish Soap…

A BIG Thanks to Lindsay for allowing me to share ‘what I know’ with you!

Great tips! I just recently started making my own laundry detergent--it is SO much cheaper than buying it ready made, and I like that I actually know what's being used on my clothes. Now I want to make more homemade cleaning supplies!
