Hand {prints}

With Father's day a week away, I thought I would share a gift that we made for the special occasion. It's simple, but will be enjoyed for years to come. There is just something so sweet about little hand prints. Kids grow so quickly, that this will be a precious reminder of how little they once were.

Supplies needed--

Canvas (mine was 12x12)
Paint--spray or acrylic
Non-toxic finger paint (I used Crayola finger paint)
Vinyl

After the kids' hand prints were dried, I added the vinyl lettering.
Yes indeed, very simple!

FYI--Kaitlyn is almost 5 years old
Olivia is almost 3 years old
Zac is 4 months

Cute! I may have to do this! I was thinking I would wait til next year because my baby would be too little to cooperate, but yours is only a month older than mine, so I think it's possible! Thanks for the great idea!

Oooh, I really like this! I just may have to do this for my hubby this year. I only have one little man, but perhaps I could do his hands and feet both...thanks for the inspiration!

So, I actually did try this with my son this afternoon with some adjustments to make it work for an only child. I posted a link to your original, and I'd love for you to come and see how mine turned out. :)

Cute - I did something similiar with my kiddos (1 & 3) - we turned their handprints into animals and hung the canvases in our playroom - I LOVE how it turned out, and it was super easy for this not-so-artsy mom. I made sure to spray a top coat on them, since they're done with washable paint, so the paint doesn't disappear over time. here's a pic - http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JDE5RIjps3s/TgvVUHePRsI/AAAAAAAAHN4/bQbyeFfko4c/s1600/IMG_1361.JPG
