Organize board

I've had this vacant wall across from my pantry for quite some time. I've gone over SO many different options for it. Whatever went on the wall, needed to be multi-purpose. Something that could hold art projects for the kids, and organize the many lists that accumulate over the week.

So here's what I came up with--

Scrap wood from Home Depot--.51 cents
Scrap metal from my hubby's work--free!
Fabric from Wal-mart--$2.50
Large clips from Michaels--$1.99/each. Used coupon for one.
Primer--already had
Spray paint (
Rust-Oleum Heirloom White )--already had
Hot glue or liquid nails--already had
Vinyl words--already had

Total cost--just over $5.00. Score!

I primed & painted the wood. Hot glued the fabric to the sheet metal. Then used liquid nails to apply it to the wood. Hot glued the clips onto the bottom of the wood. Added the vinyl words & numbers. And wahla! Simple enough, right?!

I'm VERY happy with the functionality of this piece. Now maybe it will actually help to organize my life. :)
