Chevron Plates

I absolutely LOVE the chevron design. It's everywhere. I have plans for a BIG project that I am going to be doing soon, involving this design, so I figured these little plates would be good practice. I think they turned out pretty cute though, even if they were just to help me learn the technique.

Here's how you make them for yourself--

Plates
Blue painters tape
Spray paint or craft paint


I cut several pieces of tape, 2 1/2 in. each. I started at the top & worked my way down. I used tape in between my lines to get my spacing right.

I learned a few things as I went along. I painted the green plate using regular paint. I thought it came out looking too thickly painted & not very even.

I used spray paint on the yellow plate & it turned out much better.

I think that completes the mantle for my spring decor, don't you think?!
